A stunning new mural has been designed to create interest and promote a sense of space in the garden at Hazel Ward, Hafan y Coed at University Hospital Llandough.
Staff Wellbeing Space at the Cochrane Library
The Staff Lottery Bids Panel recently supported a project to improve the environment of the newly created staff wellbeing area in the Cochrane Library at University Hospital Llandough. Cardiff University have funded furniture, leisure reading, wellbeing books, information and games to be installed in the designated area, and Staff Lottery funding will provide bright and modern artwork and wall vinyls to adorn the walls of the library.

Jayne runs the London Marathon
On Sunday 3 October, the Virgin Money London Marathon will return to its iconic central London course 889 days after it was last held in April 2019. 50,000 runners on the traditional course from Greenwich to the Mall will complete the 26.2 miles of the course and one of those will be Jayne Catherall, long-time supporter of the Health Charity.
Oscar’s pocket money campaign raises £1530
Oscar wanted to do something for young patients in the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital for Wales who had been affected by the pandemic, to show them they weren’t forgotten. He wanted to raise money for the children and buy something to help make it better for them while they were in hospital through Cardiff & Vale Health Charity.
Oliver’s on a roll raising funds for Cardiff & Vale Health Charity
Dad-of-one Oliver, 34, of Barry, completed the 26.2 mile run in his back garden on Saturday, April 11, and has so far raised £3536 for the NHS via Cardiff & Vale Health Charity’s ‘Make It Better’ fund.

Pod Pushers raise the most in the Bed Push Challenge
Fourteen teams took part in the Battle of the Beds, hoping to be crowned fastest team, racing their themed bed from one side of the barrage to the other. There were also prizes also for the most amount raised for Cardiff & Vale Health Charity as well as for the best decorated bed.
