Queen's Green Canopy Project

Patients and staff at our Mental Health Services for Older People in-patient unit at University Hospital Llandough, were delighted to receive a Hawthorne tree from lecturers and students on the Creative and Therapeutic Arts course at University of South Wales as part of our collaborative Queen’s Green Canopy project.

Supported by Cardiff & Vale Health Charity Arts Fund, we are working with University of South Wales students to deliver online arts projects for patients in MHSOP in celebration of the Queen’s Green Canopy project and the Platinum Jubilee.

Patients are thoroughly enjoying the art sessions and excited to be part of this inspirational tree planting project.

We would like to thank Heloise Godfrey-Talbot, lecturer on the Creative and Therapeutic Arts course and her talented students together with our staff members and look forward to their forthcoming exhibition in the Spring in our Plaza Exhibition space.
