On Sunday 1st October 2023, the 20th Cardiff Half Marathon takes place across the city. As thousands of people are estimated to take part, we’re highlighting our inspiring runners.
Peter Jones is running Cardiff Half Marathon 2023 to raise money for Our Health Meadow to develop the Nature Haven – an outdoor therapeutic healthcare facility.
Our Health Meadow is an innovative green space located on the grounds of University Hospital Llandough. As well as providing a natural environment for patients, staff and the community to visit and enjoy, it is also being used as a space for volunteers to learn new skills through sustainable and accessible workshops delivered by Down to Earth.
Peter is raising funds to support the plans and development of the Nature Haven at Our Health Meadow, which will include the landscaping of the site, construction of the therapy facilities, and the maintenance of the grounds through the amazing team at Down to Earth. The Nature Haven aims to leave a lasting legacy, and allow Our Health Meadow to enhance the health and wellbeing of future generations for years to come.
