On 14th May it’s National Operating Department Practitioners Day, and we’re delighted to have supported our operating theatre colleagues.

The Staff Lottery Bids Panel have agreed to provide funds to B3 in University Hospital of Wales to hold a celebratory event to mark this special day.

When applying for the funds, Babs Jones said; “The roles in theatre have been outstanding during the entire pandemic and have been through some unthinkable situations, but have always faced the challenges head-on and provided the highest standard of care for patients in the perioperative pathway.

“The support they give each other is amazing to witness, by being flexible and offering to work in areas to support staff there. I am proud to work with such amazing people and would like to be able to celebrate the roles.”

We hope they have a wonderful day!
