On 5th May we celebrate International Day of the Midwife, and this year Cardiff & Vale Health Charity are proud to support the Obs and Gynae department at University Hospital of Wales with their staff recognition awards by supplying funds for five hampers to the winners.

With the ever-increasing pressures on services due to the pandemic, staff morale has been low. As a way of acknowledging all the hard work and effort of staff, the department had set up a staff recognition referral form for patients and visitors to nominate their star in one of these five categories;

*Student Midwife
*Community Midwife
*The Motivator
*Feeding Support
*GEM (Go the extra mile)

The Staff Lottery Bids Panel were thrilled to support this venture and wish all the nominees good luck.
