A team of 20 adventure-seekers will be completing the Welsh 3 Peaks Challenge on 27th May 2023 to raise funds for Martha’s Dancing Heart Campaign. The team will be led by Michelle Graham, who has committed to fundraise £1 million to say thank you to the teams at University Hospital Wales and Bristol Children’s Hospital who saved her daughter’s life.
Little Martha Graham’s heart was racing at twice the normal speed when doctors decided to deliver her by emergency Caesarean at 35 weeks.
Admitted to the hospital’s neonatal unit for 17 days she then spent a week on the cardiac ward at the Noah’s Ark Children for Wales where she received further treatment.
Michelle Graham said: “As a family we committed to raising £1 million in our lifetime to say thank you to the incredible teams of consultants, doctors, nurses, sonographers and everyone else involved in her care.”
So far Martha’s Dancing Heart Campaign has raised an amazing £82,000, and the team participating in the Welsh 3 Peaks Challenge are hoping to get even closer to £90,000.
