Cardiff & Vale Health Charity and the Arts for Health and Wellbeing Programme have been delighted to support the team from the Pelvic Health Service, now based at Barry Hospital, to enable them to brighten the corridor space outside their clinic areas.

A newly located service to Barry Hospital, the aim of the Pelvic Health Hub is to deliver patient focused support, advice and treatment options for the management of pelvic floor disorders. They wish to reduce waiting times and improve pelvic health services within the Cardiff and Vale locality, whilst offering a friendly and welcoming environment for their patients. This is where the Health Charity stepped in.

Using charitable funds and working with Grosvenor Interiors who have assisted us with many projects across the Health Board, the idea was to bring some light and space into the internal corridor area of the hospital, and we’re sure you’ll agree the new ‘wall glamour’ is a very welcome addition. Supporting Cardiff & Vale Health Charity can make such a difference for projects such as these, enabling improvements to an otherwise unwelcoming, dark and gloomy space.

Sally Keenan, Pelvic Health Service Co-Ordinator said “I can’t believe the difference in the corridor, it makes such a difference and everyone is commenting on it.”

“We would like to thank the Health Charity for funding the pictures in the corridor, which has become the talking point with all staff and visitors”
