With May being National Walking Month, we’re encouraging people to get moving, improve fitness and wellbeing, all while supporting Cardiff & Vale Health Charity.

What does this mean?

Set yourself a challenge for the month. Whether that’s walking 20 minutes a day, setting a 20k target by month’s end, or even tackling 20,000 steps a day. You can do it! Improve your physical and mental health whilst supporting your local hospitals at the same time.

You can help raise funds by visiting our JustGiving page to make a donation or why not set up your own online donation page and ask friends, family, and colleagues to support you along the way.


Get involved: –

  • Organise a sponsored walk at your work, school, or community
  • Challenge friends and colleagues – who can walk the fastest, furthest, or even raise the most money
  • Set up a walking meeting
  • Walk the length of our glorious coast
  • Take on a virtual challenge – cover the distance of Wales!
  • Set up a challenge on your smartwatch/fitbit
