Henry is used to helping people recover—but last December, he had to help himself.

After dislocating his collarbone, the MSK physiotherapist and occupational health practitioner at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board became the patient. With the support of his team and determination to avoid surgery, he carefully rebuilt his strength, step by step.

That journey sparked something bigger.

Now, Henry is taking on Ironman Wales 2026 in Tenby, turning his recovery into a powerful challenge. But this isn’t just about crossing the finish line—it’s about giving back.

Through his fundraiser for the Cardiff & Vale Health Charity, Henry hopes to support the physiotherapy department at the University Hospital of Wales, helping to fund specialist equipment that can transform patient rehabilitation.

“Recovery showed me how important the right tools and care are,” he says.

Every mile he trains, and every donation he receives, will help patients rebuild strength, confidence, and independence—just like he did.

Because for Henry, this Ironman isn’t just a race. It’s a way to help others get back to what they love.
