Everyone at Cardiff & Vale Health Charity would like to say a massive thank you to Matt Owen who decided to host weekly quizzes via Facebook, all in aid of helping the staff of Cardiff and Vale University Health Board during the COVID-19 pandemic!
During the lockdown, it is important that we keep ourselves busy to get ourselves through the day and what better way to entertain ourselves and engage our brains by doing a quiz! Matt came up with the brilliant idea of hosting a weekly quiz via Facebook over 4 weeks where contestants could not only test their knowledge but also help fundraise for our NHS staff tirelessly working across Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan during this pandemic.
Matt asked those that wished to participate to contribute to his fundraising by donating to Cardiff & Vale Health Charity before playing, raising a fantastic £1,855 which was used to buy several items for our NHS heroes across all our hospital sites! Matt said “I am glad that I was able to support the NHS staff working hard during this pandemic in sites such as the University Hospital of Wales, University Hospital Llandough and the new Ysbyty Calon Y Ddraig. Please keep up the good work”.
