The NHS Big Tea 2021 has launched week commencing Monday 10th May 2021, to say a big thank you and celebrate the amazing work of Cardiff and Vale University Health Board staff and celebrate how lucky we are to have such a wonderful NHS in the UK.
This year, we all feel closer to our NHS. At its heart, the NHS Big Tea is a call for everyone to join a national outpouring of thanks on the Monday 5th July 2021 – the official anniversary of the NHS or any day between 10th May 2021 and 31st August 2021 to help us celebrate and raise money for our local hospitals.
For many, this will be an outpouring of joy, celebrating the vaccine and all that it allows us to do again. For others, it will be an outpouring of thanks, for everything that our NHS champions have done for us. For some, sadly, it will be a moment of reflection for the loss of loved ones. This campaign will reflect this range of emotions.
Cardiff & Vale Health Charity, part of NHS Charities Together are urging people to join a national outpouring of love by joining the nation’s biggest tea break to raise money for our local NHS champions.
If you would like to take part in the celebrations by holding a virtual or socially distanced tea party/bake sale outside with friends, family or at work, please follow the registration process below. Once registered, we will be in touch via email or post and will be more than happy to provide you with anything you need whether it be our fundraising pack or bilingual downloadable materials such as posters, bunting, cake cards, sponsor forms, games etc..
If you are looking to participate in person, please host your tea party/bake sale outside whilst practicing social distancing. All we ask is that you please follow the most up to date COVID-19 guidance set out by the Welsh Government when participating in this event.
Cardiff & Vale Health Charity are encouraging participants to host their own fundraising activities alongside their tea parties with schools dressing up as superheroes and workplaces hosting their own bake offs and dress up days.
We’d love your support with this campaign to help say thank you to our wonderful doctors and nurses who work tirelessly for our local hospitals within Cardiff and Vale of Glamorgan, especially through the COVID-19 pandemic.
