Long-standing fundraiser, Lottie Stokes, recently hosted a charity ball in support of the British Heart Foundation and the Louie Stokes Fund at Cardiff & Vale Health Charity. Lottie began raising funds for the Children’s Heart Service for Wales after her second son, Louie, was diagnosed with a major heart condition requiring multiple operations.

The Stokes family have been extremely instrumental in their efforts to raise the profile of Cardiff and Vale University Health Board, and raise money for good causes for the benefit of children with heart conditions from birth across Wales. The funds raised by Lottie, husband Karl and Louie himself have been used to purchase new equipment, improve standards of the existing diagnostic facilities and promote research and education.

On Saturday 2nd March 2024, the family held a charity ball in support of the Louie Stokes Fund, raising an incredible £2,000 in support of the Children’s Heart Service for Wales. Another £4,000 was raised in support of British Heart Foundation.

Lottie said: “We had a great time at the Park Plaza on Saturday night and raised a lot more money than I thought we would, I’m still blown away by the love and support that was in the room!”

“Your support means the world to us and helps us turn the sometimes awful situation we are in with our middle son, Louie, into a more positive one. We danced the night away with full and happy hearts.”

The Stokes family are committed to fundraising, their next mission being Karl’s participation in this year’s London Marathon! To support him in the challenge, please donate to his JustGiving Page.

Cardiff & Vale Health Charity extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Stokes family for their continuous dedication and support. The funds they raise directly contribute to the lives of children with heart conditions, helping them live long and happy lives.
