Cardiff & Vale Health Charity would like to thank a group of supporters who in October this year completed the Three Peaks Challenge to raise money for the Breast Centre at University Hospital Llandough.

Mike Hill and a group of his friends climbed the Welsh Three Peaks, and said that “Each member of this group is no different to most of us who have at some point experienced the devastating effect this disease can have on a person and their friends or family.

“We were all in agreement that we had to do our small part in helping in the fight to defeat cancer”.

Mike also shared his personal story of his mum who was diagnosed with breast cancer in May 2018. Thankfully she has recently completed her chemo treatment and Mike and his family thought that the treatment she received from every member of staff was second to none.

Mike has also said that he would like to say how thankful his family are for the wonderful treatment his mum has received. She actually works at the Breast Centre and she knew a lot of the people who would be helping her on the journey.

The Health Charity would like to say a huge thank you to you Mike, and his friends Calum, Jack, Matt, Todd, Sam, Geri, Lauren and Lewys for raising a phenomenal £1119.00.

Mike’s fundraising page is still open for those that might like to contribute to this fabulous group of people.
