Well done to Jack Jordan on completing his Garth Mountain Challenge, all in aid of helping the staff of Cardiff and Vale University Health Board during the COVID-19 pandemic!

Jack who is 9 years old and lives in Cregiau in Cardiff wanted to show his support to the NHS. Jack’s mum, Nicola, works as a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist but has been redeployed to assist staff on the wards of St David’s Hospital during the COVID-19 pandemic. Jack therefore decided to start fundraising, to aid his mum and all other NHS staff tirelessly working across Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.

Jack loves cycling and as a way of showing his thanks, Jack decided to do what he loves the most and challenge himself to cycle from his house up Garth Mountain with his dad on Saturday 2nd May 2020.

Jack triumphantly completed his challenge and has so far raised a fantastic £257.50 for Cardiff & Vale Health Charity to support to our NHS heroes! Jack said “I love cycling, but not going uphill! But I wanted to challenge myself to do this so I can help all the NHS staff working really hard at the moment”.

Everyone really appreciates this act of kindness and on behalf of all the NHS teams here in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan, we thank Jack and Nicola from the bottom of our hearts for their inspiring kindness and generosity once again.
