Everyone at Cardiff & Vale Health Charity would like to say a huge thank you to Hayley Thomas who has decided to shave her head in aid of helping the staff of Cardiff and Vale University Health Board during the COVID-19 pandemic!

Hayley, who is a Speech and Language Therapist always had shaving her head on her bucket list and originally set her fundraising goal at £200 on her JustGiving page. However, she was soon overwhelmed by the amount of people who donated to her page as in less than one hour, the total had smashed £1000! Her total currently stands at a fantastic £1,978.53 which she would like to be donated to Cardiff & Vale Health Charity to help support her local NHS team.

Hayley said “The NHS will always have a special place in my heart. They trained me, let me work for them and have kept my superhero nephew and wonderful mum in my life. NHS staff are now going another step further and are doing incredible work to keep the country safe during these unprecedented times. It was a pleasure to raise money for such an awesome team so please keep up all the amazing work you are doing”.

We at Cardiff & Vale Health Charity very much appreciate this act of kindness and on behalf of all the NHS teams here in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan, we thank Hayley from the bottom of our hearts for her inspiring kindness and generosity once again.
