Fundraisers pushed themselves to the limit last weekend as they took on the gruelling 10YFan challenge, climbing Pen y Fan up to ten times in just 24 hours, all in support of Cardiff & Vale Health Charity.
They showed outstanding determination, resilience and teamwork as they tackled the highest peak in South Wales again and again, in what is widely regarded as one of the toughest endurance challenges in the UK.
From steep ascents to tired legs and long hours on the mountain, the team kept going through it all — driven by their commitment to make a difference. Their efforts have been nothing short of remarkable, with the group raising almost £4,000 to support patients, families and staff across Cardiff and the Vale.
The 10YFan challenge is not for the faint-hearted. Climbing Pen y Fan once is an achievement in itself; doing it multiple times in a single day and night requires immense physical and mental strength. Taking it on as a team made the feat even more special, agreeing it was one of the toughest challenges they had endured.
Everyone at Cardiff & Vale Health Charity would like to say a huge thank you to the team for their incredible effort and generosity. Their amazing achievement will help fund projects and services that go above and beyond NHS provision, making a real difference to the lives of people in our community.
We are so proud of what they have accomplished, not only conquering an extraordinary challenge, but also raising a fantastic amount of money for a cause that means so much.
Thank you, your dedication and determination are truly inspiring.
