Allensbank Allotment are growing and selling plants to plot holders, all in aid of helping staff across Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan during the COVID-19 pandemic, thank you so much!

Upon seeing the continual dedication and hard work of Cardiff and Vale University Health Board employees during the COVID-19 pandemic, Allensbank Allotment, which the University Hospital of Wales overlooks wished to help our NHS heroes during this difficult time. The committee members of the allotment decided to grow vegetable plants for plot holders to purchase with the proceeds being donated to Cardiff & Vale Health Charity’s #SpreadTheLove campaign, raising a fantastic £326.02!

Koulla Newman, a committee member of Allensbank Allotment said “We would like the money we have raised to go directly to staff, nurses, doctors, porters, etc, at UHW. We hope this will help in some way towards the amazing work everyone concerned is undertaking. We would like to thank everyone concerned for all their hard work in making this appeal possible”.

We at Cardiff & Vale Health Charity very much appreciate this act of kindness and on behalf of all the NHS teams here in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan, we thank the committee members and plot holders of Allensbank Allotment from the bottom of our hearts for their inspiring kindness and generosity once again.
