⭐ Cardiff Half Marathon in memory of Greg Lloyd
A dedicated team of around 120 remarkable supporters will be completing the Cardiff Half Marathon on 1st October 2023 in loving memory of Greg Lloyd who passed away suddenly in August 2022 after suffering a sudden cardiac arrest.
Long-time supporter and previous Health Charity colleague, Jayne Catherall, is taking on the Cardiff Half Marathon once again this year; this time to raise awareness of prostate cancer.
Following a devastating cancer diagnosis, Hazel has decided to run Cardiff Half Marathon to support the Breast Centre Appeal at the University Hospital of Llandough.
Raising money for the Breast Centre Appeal because she received fantastic treatment at the Breast Centre last year during her breast cancer treatment.
The Cardiff Half will be Gordon’s 9th Race of the year raising money for the Breast Centre Appeal and Minds Matter Cymru
Sana is running the Cardiff Half Marathon in honour of her late daughter, Jannat Khan. Aqsa will also be joining Sana in the Cardiff Half as Jannat was her niece. Aqsa will be teaming up with Sana and doubling their fundraising efforts for the NICU.
⭐ Owain Williams & Hannah Gardener
This October, Owain and Hanna are taking on the Cardiff Half Marathon. Working in adult mental health at Hafan y Coed, University Hospital Llandough, Owain is running to help raise donations for Our Health Meadow.
Long-standing supporter Michelle Graham is running this year’s Cardiff Half Marathon as she has committed to fundraise £1 million to say thank you to the teams at University Hospital Wales and Bristol Children’s Hospital who saved her daughter’s life.
Agatha has spent four years studying neuroimaging and neuroscience at Cardiff University. This October, Agatha is running the Cardiff Half Marathon to help raise money for state-of-the-art equipment in the Neurology department of University Hospital of Wales.
Peter is fundraising for Our Health Meadow to help to create a wonderful space to increase health and wellbeing for everyone.
Dedicated members of the Community Brain Injury Team will be running the Cardiff Half Marathon on 1st October 2023 to raise funds for the Prop Appeal that supports Brain Injury Rehabilitation patients.
Samya is running the Cardiff Half Marathon in the hopes to raise money for the Bleeding Disorders Network, Wales Endowment Fund.
Ben Williams is undertaking the Cardiff Half Marathon for Headroom, which is an early intervention in psychosis (EIP) service within Cardiff and Vale University Health Board. Headroom supports individuals experiencing a first episode of psychosis between the ages of 14-25.
