Another exciting project has been completed at Our Health Meadow! With thanks to funding from the Arts for Health and Wellbeing Team at Cardiff & Vale Health Charity, the beautifully carved Polyn Pren proudly stands in the wooded area of Our Health Meadow at University Hospital Llandough.
The stump, initially taken from the site, has been carefully designed by our volunteers, and then carved on site by Thomas Carvings before being reinstalled at Our Health Meadow.
During the last 18 months, Down to Earth and Cardiff & Vale Health Charity have worked alongside a wonderful group of volunteers from patients and NHS colleagues to community members. Together, they brainstormed the idea of the Polyn Pren and were eager to see their designs take shape after a few planned sessions. Throughout the process the carvers were informed of the collective group’s ideas.
With the intention to represent the different horizons of Our Health Meadow, and with help from Thomas Carvings, they watched their vision come to life.
The Polyn Pren currently stands at Our Health Meadow where it is appreciated by all.
