Cardiff & Vale Health Charity is pleased to announce Nuala Mahon, Immunisation Co-Ordinator has been crowned Health Hero for November.
For years, Nuala has worked as an Immunisation Co-Ordinator, much of this time on her own, delivering education and training on vaccinations, and how to vaccinate Primary and Secondary Care colleagues. As well as this, she has promoted the benefits of vaccination across the communities of Cardiff and Vale.
Charis Joyce, Immunisation Co-Ordinator said, “Nuala has shown a dedication and enthusiasm for this role that has not dimmed over the years. She has been a source of expert advice and knowledge to all in the Health Board who deliver or advise on vaccinations – all with the goal of improving safety and increasing uptake of these life-saving interventions.”
Rebecca Stringer, Senior Nurse Mass Vaccination and Testing said, “Nuala is a huge advocate for vaccinations and has a wealth of knowledge. Not only that, she is a gorgeous human being. A very well deserved nomination.”
Nuala will be Health Hero for the month of November and will receive a treat from sponsors Park Plaza Cardiff. She is delighted with the award nomination.
