A number of our colleagues recently hosted their own NHS Big Tea events to celebrate our wonderful NHS turning 75, and to raise funds for Cardiff & Vale Health Charity.
The NHS Big Tea is an annual tea party that anyone can host. Whether you get together at home, in the office, at the local community centre, you can celebrate the NHS through having some tea and cake, and donating to your local NHS charity! This year’s events were extra special, with over 5000 people signing up to host their own NHS Big Tea, to show their appreciation of the NHS.
The Stroke Rehabilitation Centre was one of the departments who took part in the event. The team organised a bake sale, a raffle, and a game of guessing how many teabags were in a jar. They had a wonderful time celebrating the incredible milestone of the NHS, raising a fabulous £351.35! The funds will be equally split to support Our Health Meadow and the Stroke Rehabilitation Centre.
The Radiology Department also celebrated, supporting Our Health Meadow through their Big Tea event, raising a fantastic £175 through their bake sale.
We extend our heartfelt thank you to all our colleagues who organised the Big Tea events in their departments, and to all who baked and donated. We are incredibly grateful for your support!
