A kind donation of £200 (+GiftAid) recently supported the Integrated Children’s Community Nursing Team (ICCNS) by providing refreshments during their Staff Celebration Event.
The event’s aim was to celebrate the School Nurses, Health Visitors and Nurses from the ICCNS team. The staff work hard to support children in the community, providing care to children with complex health needs and life limiting conditions, in education settings, and closer to home.
To recognise the team’s dedication and hard work, all staff were asked to nominate their colleagues for 7 different categories ahead of the event. A winner was then chosen for each of the following:
- Most Hardworking and Dedicated
- Best Team Player
- Going the Extra Mile / Going Above and Beyond
- Inspirational / Role Model
- People’s Choice
- Most Improved Performer
- Innovation / Driving Success
Each category winner received a certificate, and anyone who received a nomination was sent a letter, sharing the lovely words from their colleagues. Staff were also asked to provide 3 positive words about their team, which was then made into an artwork.
We would like to say a huge thank you to Michael Mogan, who supported the event with a generous donation of £200 (+GiftAid) that was used to purchase the refreshments. Michael’s kindness has been greatly appreciated by the team, who expressed their gratitude for this wonderful token of appreciation.
Louise Young, the Professional Development Co-Ordinator, from the Children, Young People, and Family Health Services, said: “The wonderful refreshments made available to us really made the event. We talk a lot about valuing our staff, but having that on offer was a very tangible sign of celebration. Aroma provided a beautiful spread of tea, coffee, iced water, some cake, biscuits and large fruit platters. The staff were very appreciative and we had nothing left over!”
“Claire, Kate and myself would all like to add our personal thanks to Michael Mogan who so kindly enabled us to have the refreshments which turned our session into a proper Staff Celebration Event.”
The School Nurses, Health Visitors and Nurses from the ICCNS team thoroughly enjoyed the celebrations of their team and all their hard work. We hope that the nominations and awards have boosted morale and made all colleagues feel appreciated.
