Gift in Wills
Leave a forever thank you
Each year, monies received from gifts in Wills donations supports research and development, improvements to patient services and environments and staff wellbeing projects, which helps make a significant difference to patients and staff.
What is a Gift in Will?
A legacy is any gift (monetary or assets) left in a person’s Will; an instruction for part of your estate to be given to an individual or organisation after your death.
Leaving a gift in your Will, be that a percentage of your estate, a lump sum, shares or a valuable item, is a generous way of helping make a difference to patient care.
After providing for loved ones, we would like to ask you to consider leaving a gift in your Will. Together we can create a lasting legacy.
Types of Gifts
Residuary Gift
This is what is left of your estate when debts, taxes and other gifts have been paid.
Pecuniary Gift
This is a gift of a specified amount of money.
Specific Gift
This is a particular item or collection of items, e.g. a piece of art.
What happens if I leave a gift in my Will?
When you leave a gift in your Will, you can choose to make a general donation to the Health Board so that clinical staff can decide where it’s needed most; or support a service or department which you and your loved ones have personal experience of.
Including a gift in your Will requires no immediate financial commitment, however your kind and generous donation will be a part of your legacy to help others in the future.
