We are thrilled to announce the arrival of the new Corridor exhibition by Brian Marsh, exploring captivating landscapes and nature. As a valued colleague at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board, Brian extends his creative talents to skilfully capture the atmospheres and feelings of locations through his painting practice. We are delighted to support to Brian during his inaugural exhibition.

I’m a Welsh artist living in Cardiff, I have always painted but during Covid-19 my productivity grew as I was even more drawn to the outdoors and the beauty of life.

The work on display is directly Inspired by the places I’ve seen. I try to capture the interplay of light and atmosphere, my ultimate aim is to capture the true essence of a place rather than simply reproducing the details.

I predominantly work with oils, using both palette knives and brushes to apply the paint. This allows me to experiment with various textures and layering techniques which leads to a degree of unpredictability.

I strive to create artworks that not only capture the emotion and energy of a place but to invite the viewer into the scene.
