We are incredibly grateful to receive a donation of £2,400 from colleagues at Marelli. This generous contribution is dedicated to the Neurology Department, Ward B4, in recognition of the exceptional care provided to a cherished colleague and friend.
Lee Jones, a beloved member of the Marelli team for 37 years, was diagnosed with a brain tumour in March 2024. The news came as a profound shock to all who knew him. Lee was the life and soul of the workplace, known for his warmth, humour, and unwavering dedication. During his diagnosis and treatment, Ward B4 became a place of compassion and support, offering expert care during one of the most challenging times in Lee’s life.
Determined to show their appreciation and rally around Lee, 20 of his colleagues, and one loyal dog, embarked on a fundraising hike up Pen Y Fan on 6th July. What began as a modest goal of £500 quickly grew into something extraordinary. Through the power of community and shared purpose, the team raised over £5,000 for Ward B4, Maggie’s, and the nurses who had cared for Lee.
The day didn’t end on the mountain. After the hike, the group gathered at a local pub in Llanelli, joined by even more Marelli colleagues, past and present. In a touching moment, Lee himself came along to meet everyone—an emotional reunion filled with laughter, memories, and gratitude.
To everyone who walked, donated, supported, and stood by Lee, thank you. Your kindness, generosity, and spirit have made a lasting impact.
